GCubes Are A Little Too OP

Lately, I saw one of my teammates just bought obsidian at the start of the game. I'm guessing that he used GCubes for that. Then, he just bought a dragon scroll to attack other teams.
In the next game, that teammate of mine was now the opponent.
No offense, but aren't GCubes are a little too OP?
