Why did bg add the region update

It does nothing to make the players experience feel better and almost everyone hates it. Like why it doenst even give bg more money the region thing would need a lot more servers which costs money and if there arnt a lot of servers it would be laggy making people including the ones that pay money to leave

@Cyber_Duo_1234 not only expensive, you can't even add people out of your region.
I'm sure some psycho had the idea for this
